2021-22

THE GOVERNOR GENERAL'S ACADEMIC BRONZE MEDAL

A bronze medal is awarded to the student who receives the highest overall average in his/her high school upon graduation. The average includes all grade 11 and grade 12 courses (secondary IV and V in Quebec) as listed on the student’s official Transcript of Grades issued by the ministry of education. The average cannot be anticipated; it must be calculated based on final results after provincial/territorial examinations, where the ministry of education requires final exams.

THE ONTARIO POWER GENERATION SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

It is awarded to a student entering the STEM field in recognition of their academic achievement, their demonstration of communication and leadership skills and involvement in extracurricular activities.

THE SCHULICH LEADER NOMINEE AWARD

Awarded to one student of each school who is pursuing studies in a STEM field and has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, charisma, and creativity. These students are also entrepreneurial-minded.

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO BOOK AWARD

Awarded to one student of each school who demonstrates superior academic performance, original and creative thought, and exceptional achievement in a broad context. They excel in academic pursuits, demonstrate enthusiasm for intellectual exploration and have a strong involvement in the lives of their schools and communities.

THE MAXWELL HEIGHTS MATHEMATICS AWARD

Awarded to the student who has the highest overall average across the three Grade 12 University Level Mathematics Courses.
The courses are as follows:
- Grade 12 Advanced Functions
- Grade 12 Calculus and Vectors
- Grade 12 Data Management

UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO CANADIAN SENIOR MATHEMATICS COMPETITION SCHOOL CHAMPION

Awarded to the student who obtains the highest score in the school for the Canadian Senior Mathematics Competition (CSMC).

UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO CANADIAN COMPUTING COMPETITION SCHOOL CHAMPION

Awarded to the student who obtains the highest score in the school in the Canadian Computing Competition (CCC).

THE MAXWELL HEIGHTS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SHSM

Awarded to the student who has the highest overall average in the Information Technology SHSM.

2020-21

DECA ONTARIO REGIONALS TOP 60 FOR THE SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT MARKETING (SEM) CATEGORY

Awarded to a student who has obtained a Top 60 position in his/her category.

HIGHEST OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Awarded to the student who has the highest overall average in the grade for that academic year.

PRINCIPAL'S HONOUR ROLL

Awarded to a student who has an overall average of greater than 90%.

HIGHEST SCORER IN THE SCHOOL ON THE UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO EUCLID MATHEMATICS COMPETITION

Awarded to the student who obtains the highest score in the school in the Euclid Mathematics Competition.
